How IceRank handles account data, site activity, community signal data, technical data, and privacy requests.
1. Who operates IceRank
IceRank is operated from Alberta, Canada. For privacy requests, account deletion requests, correction requests, questions, or legal/privacy concerns, contact IceRank at icerank.app@gmail.com.
2. Information IceRank may collect
IceRank may collect limited information needed to operate the site, authenticate users, support site features, protect the service, and respond to requests.
- Account information, such as user ID, display name, email address, avatar, authentication identifiers, and login metadata.
- Community signal information, such as submitted player rankings, vote timestamps, selected players, vote totals, and related ranking-context signals if voting or scouting features are enabled.
- Technical information, such as device/browser information, logs, session data, IP-related information, error records, and security signals.
- Contact information, such as email address, name, message content, and any information submitted through email or contact forms.
- Site usage information, such as pages visited, interactions, app install prompts, interface choices, and analytics events if analytics are enabled.
3. Information IceRank does not collect intentionally
IceRank does not intentionally collect payment card information, government identification numbers, sensitive health information, or unnecessary personal information. IceRank does not sell personal information and does not share personal information with advertisers.
4. How IceRank uses information
IceRank uses collected information for legitimate site operations, including:
- Providing Google Sign-In and account access.
- Saving votes, calculating community signals, tracking vote totals, maintaining ranking context, and supporting related leaderboard features if voting or scouting features are enabled.
- Protecting vote integrity and preventing spam, abuse, duplicate voting, manipulation, or unauthorized access.
- Improving rankings, features, user experience, reliability, and site performance.
- Troubleshooting errors, debugging issues, and maintaining security.
- Responding to support, correction, privacy, and account deletion requests.
5. Google Sign-In and Supabase authentication
IceRank uses Google Sign-In through Supabase authentication. When a user signs in, IceRank may receive and store limited Google account information, such as email address, display name, avatar, user ID, and authentication metadata. IceRank uses this information only to operate user accounts, community signal features, and related site functions.
IceRank does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or other unnecessary Google account data.
6. Community signal and voting data
If voting or scouting features are enabled, submitted player rankings may be used to calculate community signals, vote totals, ranking context, confidence signals, leaderboard movement, and related IceRank features. Individual vote submissions are not intended to be publicly displayed with a userâs identity.
During a rankings-only soft launch, voting, scouting, comparison, and movement-dashboard features may be hidden, limited, experimental, or unavailable.
IceRank may review, remove, limit, or discount votes if they appear abusive, automated, duplicated, manipulated, suspicious, or harmful to ranking integrity.
7. Player, team, and hockey data
IceRank may use publicly available player information, including player names, ages, countries, positions, draft details, team references, league references, games played, and hockey statistics. IceRank does not claim ownership of underlying player, team, league, or official statistical records.
IceRank scores, IceScore, rankings, tiers, probabilities, confidence labels, player blurbs, career-path context, comparison logic, community-signal logic, model structure, and editorial outputs are original IceRank calculations and analysis.
8. Cookies, local storage, and analytics
IceRank may use cookies, browser storage, local storage, session storage, authentication tokens, logs, and analytics tools to keep users signed in, support app functionality, remember interface choices, measure site usage, detect errors, and protect the service.
Users can control some cookie and storage settings through their browser. Disabling cookies or storage may affect login, voting, app install prompts, saved sessions, or other site functionality.
9. Service providers
IceRank may rely on third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, database services, analytics, forms, email, security, and technical operations. These providers may process limited information as needed to deliver their services.
Current or future service providers may include Supabase, Vercel, Google, contact-form tools, analytics tools, and email tools.
10. Data sharing
IceRank does not sell personal information. IceRank does not share personal information with advertisers. IceRank may share limited information with service providers where necessary to operate the site, comply with legal obligations, enforce site rules, protect security, prevent abuse, or respond to valid requests.
11. Data retention
IceRank keeps information only as long as reasonably necessary for site operations, ranking integrity, account management, security, backups, legal compliance, analytics, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
Some deleted or corrected information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security records, or technical systems before being removed through normal retention cycles.
12. Account deletion, access, and correction
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-related personal information by contacting icerank.app@gmail.com.
IceRank will make reasonable efforts to respond to privacy requests. Some records may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, or legitimate site operations.
13. Security
IceRank uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including managed authentication, database controls, access controls, and service-provider security features. No website, database, or online service can guarantee complete security.
14. Children and younger users
IceRank is not intended for children under 13. Users under the age of majority should use IceRank with parent or guardian permission. IceRank does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.
15. Email and contact forms
If a user contacts IceRank by email or through a contact form, IceRank may use the message and contact details to respond and manage the request. IceRank will not add users to marketing emails unless they choose to receive them.
If IceRank offers newsletters, product updates, or promotional emails in the future, those messages will include required sender information and an unsubscribe option.
16. Independent platform and no affiliation
IceRank is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the NHL, NHLPA, any NHL club, any league, any team, any player, or any official hockey body.
Player names, team names, team abbreviations, league references, and statistics are used for identification, comparison, research, and informational purposes only. All third-party names, logos, trademarks, and marks are the property of their respective owners.
17. No guarantee of accuracy
IceRank is provided for fantasy hockey research, informational, and entertainment purposes only. Rankings, IceScore, NHL Probability estimates, Core Probability estimates, Low Impact Risk estimates, outcome probabilities, confidence labels, player profiles, comparisons, and development signals are estimates only.
IceRank is not an official evaluation source, professional scouting service, betting service, financial adviser, or guarantee of future player performance. IceRank may contain errors, outdated information, missing data, or model outputs that change over time.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
IceRank may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site, service providers, features, data practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. Continued use of IceRank after updates means users accept the updated policy.
