A plain-language summary of IceRank's independence, data use, content ownership, ranking limitations, account features, and contact information.
1. Independent platform
IceRank is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the National Hockey League, the NHLPA, any NHL club, any league, any team, any player, any official statistics provider, or any official hockey body.
2. Names, teams, leagues, and trademarks
Player names, team names, team abbreviations, league references, draft information, biographical information, and statistical references are used for identification, comparison, research, and informational purposes only. All third-party names, logos, trademarks, and marks are the property of their respective owners.
IceRank does not claim ownership of any third-party player, team, league, trademark, logo, official statistic, or official record.
3. Public hockey information and original IceRank analysis
IceRank may use publicly available hockey information, including player names, ages, countries, positions, draft details, team references, league references, games played, and hockey statistics.
IceRank scores, IceScore, rankings, career-path scores, career-path labels, historical outcome mixes, comparison logic, community-signal logic, player profiles, development signals, written explanations, interface structure, and editorial outputs are original IceRank calculations and analysis unless otherwise stated.
4. Rankings, IceScore, Career Paths, and accuracy
IceRank rankings, IceScore, career-path scores, historical paths, outcome mixes, player profiles, comparisons, development signals, and community signals are estimates and research outputs only. They are not official evaluations, professional scouting reports, betting advice, financial advice, or guarantees of future player performance.
Career Path cards are designed to show historical context and outcome ranges. Closest, Upside, and Risk paths should be read as reference points, not promises that a player will become one exact historical player.
5. Account and voting features
Some IceRank features may require sign-in. IceRank may use secure third-party sign-in and limited account information to support user accounts, save votes, protect ranking integrity, prevent abuse, and operate account-related features.
If voting or scouting features are enabled, submitted player rankings may be used to calculate community signals, vote totals, ranking context, leaderboard movement, confidence indicators, and related IceRank features. Individual vote submissions are not intended to be publicly displayed with a user identity.
During a rankings-only soft launch, voting, scouting, comparison, and movement-dashboard features may be hidden, limited, experimental, or unavailable.
6. Privacy summary
IceRank may use limited account, voting, technical, browser storage, usage, and contact information to operate the site, save votes, protect ranking integrity, troubleshoot issues, improve features, and respond to user requests.
IceRank does not sell personal information and does not share personal information with advertisers. More detail is available in the Privacy Policy.
7. Service providers
IceRank may rely on trusted third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, account features, database operations, analytics, forms, email, security, and technical operations. These providers may process limited information only as needed to deliver their services.
8. Acceptable use
Users may not attack the site, abuse automated access, scrape the service at unreasonable volume, reverse engineer private systems, manipulate votes, impersonate others, submit spam, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the operation of IceRank.
IceRank may restrict access, remove votes, discount suspicious activity, or disable accounts that violate site rules or threaten platform integrity.
9. Terms and privacy
